Dr. Luis Herrera-Estrella, member of the National Academy of Sciences and Distinguished Professor of Plant Genomics, Department of Plant and Soil Sciences, Texas Tech University, will be the BioFrontiers Biology Seminar speaker for October 11. Dr. Herrera-Estrella, will also be delivering the BDI Distinguished Lecture on Thursday, October 10 at 4pm in the Lyceum. This lecture will be a personal account of his work to develop crops that are able to thrive in marginal soils and changing temperatures.
